Rev. Elizabeth Colby Pollard currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church.  She is an ordained elder in the North Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and is a passionate preacher and teacher.

Previously, Rev. Elizabeth served as the Senior Associate at Northbrook United Methodist Church, where she provided leadership for Mission and Outreach, Spiritual Formation, and Pastoral Care. She also served as the Associate Pastor of Missions & Outreach and Family Ministries at Ben Hill United Methodist Church. During her tenure at Ben Hill, she led two youth mission trips to South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Rev. Elizabeth is a board member of the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, Southeastern Jurisdiction, and serves as a member of the North Georgia Conference’s Common Table and the Barnes Evaluation and Administration Team (BEAT).

She is a graduate of Spelman College (B.A. in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude) and Emory University’s Candler School of Theology (M. Div.), where she was awarded the “Thomas Dorsey Award” for dedication to holistic worship and the “Hoyt Hickman Award” for outstanding liturgical scholarship.

Rev. Elizabeth is a native of Wilmington, DE, and is the proud daughter of Arthur and Cynthia Pollard. She is a lover of the arts, a coffee and candle enthusiast, and enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.  Above all, Rev. Elizabeth is passionate about seeing people grow, explore, and be shaped by faith and is committed to living out her call as a minister of the Gospel.
